Day 8 At Sea

Good morning from Star Legend ship as we sail towards Barcelona, today we will be at sea all day so there was no real rush to get up this morning although JJ did get up early and put down 5 towels up on deck we had breakfast in our room again and eventually ended up on deck at around 11am the weather was amazing and the sea was completely flat, it was just perfect. Today we are all taking it easy as we all have to be off the ship by 9am tomorrow morning so we will all be getting up early so a tame today. At lunchtime we did ask Bill to see if he could get us some pizzas made specially for us for lunch, he had mentioned in a feedback form that there was no pizza available and was told we can have it anytime but when he tried yesterday he was told NO, so today he tried again and sure enough at around 1:30 we were escorted to a private section in the restaurant where there were 2 large pizzas made to order, they didnt want anyone to see them and start placing orders. It was great and thanks to Bill for persisting with it. We all had to pack our bags and tonight we have Candles booked as a surprise for Brandon for his early birthday celebrations. So after a full day sunbathing we went back to our rooms to relax and prepare for the final night. Myself and Lorna were in the room packing and we also got showered for later and then we got a message to come up to the bar, we headed up and the guys were still there enjoying the last of the su8n, eventually JJ headed back to get ready and Brandon said to us that we shouyld visit the bridge so we walked down to see if they could see us, ikt was now quite dark and the bridge was open we needed to be carefull when we enetered as it was all deliberatly dark, it was amazing that they allow this and we chated for ages they were happy to show us all the euipment and was told the most importand system there was the coffee machine, as the guys shift was from 4-8 twice a day. We then said good by to Brandon as he went down to get ready. Myslef and Lorna decided to go to the bar and wait for the guys, earlier JJ had given us a card he had got for Brandon to sign which we did but what we didnt know was JJ was going around the ship getting key personel to sign, he eben got the Captain to sign so a great memo for Brandon. We all met usp at around 7:30pm for drinks and Brandon still had no idea we were going to Candles, in fact when we lef to go he headed down the stairs when we all went up it was then he realised we had changed things and was plesently surprised. We got up the the restaurant and we had a great table outside the evening weather was amazing just like the rest of the trip and we had thye best meal of the trip that night. JJ surprised Brandon with the card and some gifts and it all got a bit tearfull. We had the Cruise director and the entertainments manager come up as well and sung happy borthday to Brandon along with the restaurant crew it really is amazing just how tentative the crew are. Brandon even got a video sent to him from the crew on there previosu Windstar cruise singing him a happy birthday. We ended up on the main dance bar and despite being the last night we all had quite of lot of drinks, throughout the cruise Brandon had developed a dance style “Helecopter” and at some point everyone on the floor was doing it. OMG we all looked so blopody gay but it was all of the fun. It was a fantasticc last day witrh great company. We all headed back to the room for our final night.
